06 — FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I make a facepalm of my friend?

Yes, if they are happy to be included — it is a great inside joke. Photos of public figures are not supported.

Does it work on cartoon or anime avatars?

Often, yes. Clear, front-facing characters animate best; very stylised art may change slightly between frames.

Is the AI Facepalm GIF free?

Yes. Every account gets 20 free credits each month, enough for your first facepalm gifs. If a generation fails, the credits are refunded automatically.

What photo should I upload?

One person from the chest up with the face clearly visible.

What do I get back?

A looping animated GIF you can download and drop into any chat, plus the 9-frame sheet it was built from. Subscribers download without a watermark.

Are my photos and GIFs private?

Uploads are only used to make your GIF. On the free plan finished creations are public in the gallery; Pro and Ultra subscribers can keep every creation private.
