The Abra Kadabra trend is the one with the snap: someone lip-syncs and points straight at the camera, steps back into a solo dance, throws a hand up and snaps their fingers — and on the very next frame a friend is standing next to them, out of thin air. Then the two of them dance side by side to a Brazilian funk beat and crowd the lens laughing at the end. This guide covers where the sound comes from, why the snap works so well, the routine beat by beat, and how to make your own version from 2 photos — one for the dancer who snaps and one for the friend who appears, people or pets.

Every clip in this post was made with the Abra Kadabra AI generator on Viberot.

Where the Abra Kadabra sound comes from#

The audio is listed on TikTok as "som original - ✧ DUDU MUSIC ✧", uploaded by the Brazilian account @dudumusicbr in July 2026. It is a Brazilian funk / bregafunk track with a chanted hook that sounds like "abra kadabra", which is why nobody calls it by its official title. The comments are full of people asking what the lyrics mean and what the song is called, and "Abra Kadabra" is the name that stuck. By October 2026 more than 1.3 million videos were using it.

It is not Lady Gaga's 2025 single "Abracadabra". Different song, different artist, different beat — if you search for the trend and land on the Gaga track, you are in the wrong place. The trend sound is the DUDU MUSIC funk clip.

Why the trend took off#

The hook basically says "magic trick", and the beat has a hard drop right where you would snap your fingers. People use the sound for anything with a reveal:

  • Transformations. Makeup, a new hair colour, a glow-up — the change lands on the snap.
  • Magic tricks. Pets that "grow" bigger with every cut, fake-out serves, objects that vanish.
  • Friends and couples. One person dances, snaps, and the other appears beside them. This is the version our template recreates.
  • Edits. Fan edits and character edits cut on the drop.

The friend-appears version is the easiest to understand without any caption: the snap is the setup, the empty space next to the dancer is the tension, and the friend popping in is the punchline.

The routine, beat by beat#

Here is the 10-second version everyone copies:

  1. The point. Close to the camera, lip-syncing to the hook and pointing straight into the lens.
  2. The solo. A step back and a short funk dance alone, with a clear empty spot on the right.
  3. The snap. One hand goes up over the head and snaps.
  4. The appearance. Hard cut — on the next frame the friend is already standing on the right. No walking in, no smoke, no flash. That is the whole trick.
  5. The duo. The two dance side by side, in sync, through the rest of the beat.
  6. The finish. Both lean into the camera together and burst out laughing.

How the AI version recreates the snap#

Asking a video model for "two people dancing to funk" gets you a random shuffle, and asking for "a friend appears" usually gets you someone walking in from the edge of the frame or fading in through a puff of smoke. The Abra Kadabra AI template copies the motion from the original clip instead:

  1. The original timing. The point, the solo, the snap, the appearance, the duo dance and the laugh at the lens, in the same order as the original and timed to the beat.
  2. A real hard-cut appearance. The friend is not there, then they are. No walk-in, no special effects.
  3. Your face, your clothes. The first photo is the dancer who snaps — you, a friend or your pet, in the outfit from the photo.
  4. Your friend from the second photo. The person (or pet) in the second photo is the one who appears on the snap and dances beside you, in their own face and outfit.
  5. Any background. By default the scene is taken from your first photo — your street, your café, your living room. Add an optional third photo of any place and the dance moves there. For the night-square look of the original, upload a photo of a lit-up city square at night.
  6. The sound included. The Abra Kadabra audio is added to the finished clip, so the snap lands on the drop.

Step by step: how to do the Abra Kadabra trend with AI#

  1. Open the template. Go to the Abra Kadabra AI page and sign in.
  2. Upload the dancer. A clear, front-facing photo of yourself, a friend or your pet. This one starts alone and does the snap.
  3. Upload the friend. A second photo of the person or pet who should appear on the snap. Both photos are required.
  4. Add a background (optional). Upload a third photo of any place to dance there, or leave it empty to stay in the scene from your first photo.
  5. Pick format and quality. 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, or 16:9 for YouTube. Standard 720p is the default; 480p is cheaper for a first try; Fast, Pro and Ultra add detail.
  6. Generate and post. It usually takes a few minutes. You get a 10-second MP4 with the sound already on it.

Tip

Without a background photo, the scene comes from your first photo, so pick one taken somewhere you would actually want to dance — a street corner, a café terrace, a party. A plain selfie wall gives you a plain video; if that is all you have, add a background photo of a better place.

Picking photos that work#

Works well Causes trouble
One person or one pet per photo, facing the camera Group photos where the face is small
Full body or at least down to the waist Extreme close-ups with no clothing visible
Even light and an interesting background Heavy filters, very dark photos
Two photos with similar light A pet curled up with its face hidden

The video opens and ends close to the lens, so the face in the first photo has to hold up at full screen. A photo where you are already grinning makes the final laugh look natural.

Note

Photos that appear to show minors or public figures are rejected before any credits are charged. Use photos of yourself or people who agreed to be in your video.

Ideas for your post#

  • The summoning. "When I need my best friend at 2 a.m." — snap, and they appear.
  • Couples. One partner dances alone, snaps, and the other shows up. Swap who snaps for a part two.
  • Pet magic. Your dog dances, snaps a paw, and the cat appears. Or the other way round.
  • Group chat roll call. Post one video per friend, each one summoned by the last.
  • Me vs. the original. Make one version with a night-square background photo like the original and post it next to a version in your own place.

Abra Kadabra AI vs. CapCut templates#

Most "Abra Kadabra" CapCut templates paste your photos over the beat with zooms, flashes and stickers, or need you to film the dance and the snap yourself and line up the cut by hand. The face moves; the body does not.

The Abra Kadabra AI generator makes a new video in which you actually dance, snap and get joined by your friend, in your own clothes and your own setting, with the motion copied from the original and the sound added on top. It runs in the browser on your phone — no app, no template link, no second take.

How much it costs#

A Standard 720p Abra Kadabra video costs 167 credits; 480p costs 81. Higher tiers cost more, and the exact price is always shown next to the Generate button before you start. Credit packs are one-time payments — no subscription — start at $9.90 for 600 credits and never expire. If a generation fails, the credits go straight back to your balance. See the pricing page for details.
