The Dame Hombro trend is the shoulder bounce: fists tucked against the chest, shoulders popping up and down on every beat of a dembow track, a chin nod and a completely straight face — until the laugh. It started with a Bulin 47 street freestyle in Madrid, turned into a single called "Dame Hombro", and now TikTok is full of people, pets and babies doing the same 13-second routine. This guide covers where it comes from, the moves beat by beat, and how to make your own version from 1 photo with the Dame Hombro AI generator on Viberot, either as yourself or as a two-year-old you.

Where the Dame Hombro trend comes from#

On October 2, 2026, Dominican artist Bulin 47 was out in Madrid with the producer and content creator Kevin Wai. Kevin put on a dembow beat on the street, and Bulin 47 started freestyling on the spot, bouncing his shoulders to the rhythm. The clip blew up: Instagram coverage reported more than 65 million views of the original.

Five days later, on October 7, the freestyle became an official single, "Dame Hombro" — Spanish for "give me shoulder". The music video had passed 12 million views on YouTube by mid-October 2026, and a reported €2,000 dance challenge pushed even more people to film their own take.

If you know the Madrid clip itself — the speaker, the crowd with phones, the red-lit doorway — that is a different template: the Bulin 47 freestyle puts you in the performer's spot in that original scene. Dame Hombro is the dance that came out of it: one dancer, full body, nothing but shoulders and attitude.

Why the shoulder bounce went viral#

  • Anyone can do it. No footwork, no floor work. If you can shrug, you can do the Dame Hombro dance — which is exactly why everyone tried.
  • The hashtags are full of it. #damehombro and #damehombrochallenge are wall-to-wall covers: friends, families, teachers, dogs.
  • The baby version. A CapCut "baby dances Dame Hombro" template reached around 2.9 million views by mid-October 2026. A toddler bouncing its shoulders with a serious face turned out to be the funniest version of all.
  • The deadpan. The joke is the cool face held for five seconds before breaking into a laugh. It works on anyone.

The moves, beat by beat#

The routine everybody copies runs about 13 seconds:

  1. The bounce (0–5 s). Stand side-on, both fists tucked against the chest. Shoulders pop up and down fast on the beat, the chin nods along, and the face stays cool.
  2. The squat (5–7 s). Drop into a deep squat, fists in front of the belly, shoulders still bouncing.
  3. The lean-in (7–8.5 s). Lean forward toward the camera, pushing one shoulder down and then the other, and finally laugh.
  4. The shake (8.5–11 s). Open your hands in front of your chest and shake the shoulders as fast as you can, knees bouncing, swaying side to side.
  5. The finish (11–13 s). Stand up straight, face the camera, open your palms and shrug. Look pleased with yourself.

Step by step: how to do the Dame Hombro trend with AI#

  1. Open the template. Go to the Dame Hombro AI page and sign in.
  2. Upload 1 photo. A clear, front-facing photo of yourself, a friend or your pet. Full body gives the most accurate outfit.
  3. Choose a style. Me for you (or your pet) doing the dance, or Baby me for the toddler version of you.
  4. Pick format and quality. 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, or 16:9 for YouTube. Standard 720p is the default; 480p is cheaper for a first try.
  5. Generate. It usually takes a few minutes.
  6. Download and post. You get a 13-second MP4 with the original track already on it, so the bounces land on the beat.

The dance always happens on a sunny Caribbean street corner, and the dancer wears the clothes from your photo.

Me or Baby me: which style to pick#

Me Baby me
Who dances You, a friend or your pet, as in the photo A two-year-old version of the person in the photo
Outfit Your outfit from the photo A mini version of the same outfit
What stays Your face, hair and clothes Your hair, your features, your style — at toddler size
Best for Joining the challenge as yourself, pet videos The CapCut baby trend, family posts, "me as a baby" jokes

How Baby me works: the AI first turns your photo into a two-year-old you in a matching mini outfit, then makes that toddler dance the full routine. Unlike a baby filter on top of someone else's clip, the baby keeps your features — same hair, same glasses, same jacket, just much smaller.

Tip

Baby me is the most shareable version. Post it next to a real childhood photo of yourself and let the comments decide how close the AI got.

Picking a photo that works#

Works well Causes trouble
One person or one pet, facing the camera Group photos where your face is small
Full body, or at least down to the waist Tight face close-ups with no clothes visible
Even daylight, sharp focus Heavy filters, dark or blurry photos
A pet standing or sitting up, face visible A pet curled up asleep
  • Dress for it. You dance in what you are wearing in the photo. A suit, a tracksuit, a football shirt — the outfit is half the joke, and in Baby me it gets shrunk down too.
  • The background does not matter. The template moves you to the Caribbean street corner either way.

Note

Photos that appear to show minors or public figures are rejected before any credits are charged. Use photos of yourself, your pets, or people who agreed to be in your video.

Ideas for your post#

  • Use the hashtags. #damehombro, #damehombrochallenge and #dancechallenge put your clip next to the covers people are already watching.
  • Duet the original. Post your version side by side with the Bulin 47 clip or the music video and match the bounces.
  • Me vs. baby me. Same photo, both styles, back to back: "how I dance now vs. how I danced at two".
  • The pet battle. Your cat and your dog, posted back to back: "who gave more shoulder?"
  • Caption ideas. "Dame hombro, baby", "when the dembow hits", or simply "dame hombro" with a shrug emoji.

Dame Hombro AI vs. CapCut and other templates#

Most Dame Hombro templates on CapCut paste your face onto fixed footage — someone else's body, someone else's room — or animate a still photo with zooms and stickers. The baby templates drop a generic baby face on a generic baby.

The Dame Hombro AI generator makes a new video from your photo: the whole clip is generated again around your subject, full body, with the motion taken from the original dance and the track on top. In Baby me, the toddler is built from your own photo, so it keeps your features and your outfit instead of being a stock baby with your face on it. It runs in the browser, no app or template link needed.

How much it costs#

A Standard 720p Dame Hombro video costs 218 credits; 480p costs 105. Higher tiers cost more, and the exact price is always shown next to the Generate button before you start. Credit packs are one-time payments — no subscription — start at $9.90 for 600 credits and never expire. If a generation fails, the credits go straight back to your balance. See the pricing page for details.

Frequently asked questions#

What is the Dame Hombro trend?#

A shoulder-bounce dance to "Dame Hombro" by Bulin 47: fists against the chest, shoulders popping on the beat, a squat, a lean toward the camera, a fast shoulder shake and a shrug to finish. It comes from a Bulin 47 and Kevin Wai street freestyle in Madrid in October 2026.

What does "dame hombro" mean?#

It is Spanish for "give me shoulder" — which is exactly what the dance is.

How many photos do I need?#

  1. One clear photo of one person or one pet.

What is the Baby me style?#

The AI first turns your photo into a two-year-old version of you in a matching mini outfit, then makes that toddler do the full Dame Hombro routine. It is the same idea as the CapCut baby template, but built from your own photo.

Can I use my cat or dog?#

Yes, with the Me style. Pets stand up on their hind legs and bounce their shoulders, keeping their own fur and markings.

Does the video include the song?#

Yes. The original track is on the finished clip. Having audio in a downloaded file is not a music licence, so follow your platform's rules on music and on labelling AI-generated content.

Is this an official Bulin 47 product?#

No. Viberot is an independent AI tool and is not affiliated with Bulin 47, Kevin Wai or their record label. The template does not use the artist's voice or likeness: your photo is the dancer.

Yes. Try the Bulin 47 freestyle, the Wipe Me Down dance or the tip toeing in my Jordans trend, all from one photo.
