How to Make the Ozil Goal AI Video (One Photo, Full Solo Goal)
How to make the Ozil goal AI trend video: the 2016 solo goal behind it, why it blew up on TikTok, and how one photo puts you in the full chip, chest and finish.

The Ozil goal AI trend is the one where somebody's grandma, uncle or Shrek runs onto a floodlit pitch, chips the goalkeeper, kills the ball on the chest, lets two defenders slide past and rolls it into an empty net. The move is a real goal from 2016; the people scoring it in October 2026 are not. This guide covers where the goal comes from, why it took over TikTok, and how to make your own 15-second version from a single photo, in the clothes you are wearing in it.
Every clip in this post was made with the Ozil Goal AI generator on Viberot.

Where the Ozil goal comes from#
On 1 November 2016, Arsenal were drawing away at Ludogorets in a Champions League group game when Mesut Özil ran onto a long ball late in the match. The goalkeeper rushed out; Özil chipped it over him, cushioned the bounce on his chest, then stopped dead as the first defender slid in, shuffled the ball across the six-yard box while a second defender slid in too, and finally side-footed it into the empty net for the 3–2 winner. He later called it the best goal of his career.
It is a perfect goal for this kind of meme: one continuous camera shot, a clear rhythm, and two defenders flying past someone who looks completely relaxed. Put somebody in a cardigan or a business suit in the middle of that and the joke writes itself.
Why it blew up on TikTok in October 2026#
- The first AI versions. Around 9 October an AI clip of a grandmother scoring the goal started circulating, followed by a version with a French-language track that nearly every later video reused.
- The CapCut template. An "Ozilgoalai" template went up on 11 October and passed 2.6 million uses within ten days.
- Tutorial accounts. "How to make the Ozil goal AI video" tutorials pulled in millions of views each, mostly in English and Brazilian Portuguese.
- Characters. Shrek, cartoon heroes, grandmas, dads in work clothes — the less athletic the scorer looks, the better it does.
The goal, shot by shot#
Every good version follows the original camera move and timing:
- The chip. The scorer runs onto the ball, the keeper dives at their feet, and the ball is lifted over him.
- The chest. One bounce, a calm chest control, the ball drops at their feet.
- Defender one. A hard slide tackle — the scorer stops dead and the defender slides straight past.
- The shuffle. A patient shuffle across the box, totally unbothered.
- Defender two. Another slide, another miss.
- The finish. A side-foot into the empty net, the crowd erupts, and the camera cuts behind the goal.

How the AI version works#
Typing "a man scores a solo goal" into a video model gets you a random football clip. The versions that look right copy the movement from the original goal and only swap the scorer. That is what the Ozil Goal AI template does:
- Motion from the original goal. The chip, the chest, both slide tackles and the finish follow the original camera move and timing.
- Your face, your clothes. Your face from the photo stays in every frame, and you play in the outfit you uploaded — suit, dress, jumper, pyjamas. The everyday outfit on a pro pitch is the joke.
- A neutral stadium. A packed night stadium with plain kits, blank boards and no club badges, so it looks like a big game without copying anyone's branding.
- The trend sound. The same track the viral videos use is added to the finished clip, so it is ready to post.
Step by step: how to make the Ozil goal AI video#
- Open the template. Go to the Ozil Goal AI page and sign in.
- Upload one photo. A clear, front-facing, full-body photo of yourself or a friend works best.
- Pick format and quality. 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, or 16:9 for YouTube. Standard 720p is the default; 480p is cheaper for a first try; higher tiers add detail.
- Generate. It usually takes a few minutes.
- Download and post. You get a 15-second MP4 with the sound already on it.
Tip
The less you look like a footballer, the funnier it is. A wedding suit, an office shirt or a dressing gown beats a sports kit every time.
Picking a photo that works#
| Works well | Causes trouble |
|---|---|
| One person, facing the camera | Group photos where your face is small |
| Full body, head to shoes | Close-up selfies with no outfit visible |
| A distinctive everyday outfit | Football kits (the contrast disappears) |
| Even light, sharp focus | Heavy filters, very dark photos |
Note
Photos that appear to show minors or public figures, including famous footballers, are rejected before any credits are charged. Use photos of yourself or people who agreed to be in your video.
Ideas for your post#
- "Me in the five-a-side group chat vs. me on the pitch." Your most unathletic photo, scoring the goal of the decade.
- The family version. Grandma, dad, the uncle who still talks about his trial at a local club.
- Original vs. me. Post the 2016 goal and your version back to back.
- Workplace edition. Your office photo scoring past "the deadline" and "the client".
Ozil goal AI vs. the CapCut template#
Many Ozil goal CapCut templates stop after five or six seconds, right after the chip, and the scorer is pasted over somebody else's body. The best part of the goal — the two defenders sliding past — never happens.
The Ozil Goal AI generator makes a new 15-second video of the whole move, from the chip to the finish, with you as the scorer in your own clothes and the trend sound on top. It runs in the browser, no app or template link needed.
How much it costs#
A Standard 720p Ozil goal video costs 251 credits; 480p costs 121. Higher tiers cost more, and the exact price is always shown next to the Generate button before you start. Credit packs are one-time payments — no subscription — start at $9.90 for 600 credits and never expire. If a generation fails, the credits go straight back to your balance. See the pricing page for details.
